1981–present: Freelance Graphic Designer
Executed all phases of book design and production from design stage to print, including document preparation, illustrations, rough and final design comps, typography, proofs, cover/jacket design, paper specification and printing. Designed and produced dictionaries, poetry books, textbooks, graphic design books, craft books, non-fiction and scholarly texts. Designed and produced brochures, newsletters, booklets, ads, posters and business stationary.

Clients include: Hearst Publications, Harper Collins, Watson-Guptil, F&W Publications, C&T Publishing, Dimensional Illustrators, Gibbs Smith Publishers, Sage Publications, Pine Forge Press, American Association of University Women, University of Southern California, Columbia University Press, New York University Press and Wesleyan University Press.

1996–1999: Hespenheide Design and Infographix Design Studio, Thousand Oaks, California
Assisted in all phases of design and production in these two design studios. Produced initial comps, revisions and final designs for a variety of books, catalogs, newsletters, brochures and other print advertising products and clients.

1992–1998: Kinko’s, Thousand Oaks, California
1992–1996  Worked exclusively in Design Department for Kinko’s corporate customers.
1996–1998  Computer Trainer. Wrote manuals and taught computer skills in private classes. Taught Mac and PC System classes in addition to QuarkXPress, PageMaker, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Responsible for advertising posters and brochures.

1979–1981: Columbia University Press, NYC
Responsible for all phases of book design from manuscript to bound book. CUP is a scholarly book publisher, publishing approximately 125 titles per year.

1976–1979: Judd & Detweiler, NYC
Responsible for customer service in the New York sales office. J&D is a high quality, 4/color magazine and catalog printer.

1974–1976: Varityper, Hanover, NJ
Designed and produced type fonts for one of the first phototype production facilities. Responsible for the entire alphabet; upper and lower case, small caps, punctuation, ligatures, accents, alternate characters and numbers for each font.
